What is Alkalising?
Alkalising is eating or consuming products which have alkaline properties, to lower the acidic content in your blood and body.
It’s common knowledge that the foods we consume today are sometimes far from natural and are even further from the original diet of a human being. This is bound to have some effects on our body if we don’t learn how to balance our diets based on more than taste and your typical “5 and 2 serves” methods. Consuming foods with high acidic content in large quantities has been linked to health issues like reflux, gastrointestinal issues, ulcers, kidney stones and even muscle deterioration. There are even studies being done to prove the potential link being high acidity blood to liver problems and heart disease. Even many celebrities have begun alkalising, including Elle McPherson and Victoria Beckham. Some additional benefits have been listed as increased energy levels, better hair, skin and nails, and increased cognitive function. Alkalising can even help cell regeneration meaning anti-aging and an improved immune system.
Which Foods Alkalise?
